Happy Birthday Brad!

My youngest Brad turned 30 on January 16th this year!  WOW, that makes me feel OLD!  I remember when he was born.  I was in high school and did not think having a pregnant mom was cool.  All of my friends were the youngest in their family and I couldn't believe my mom was having ANOTHER kid.  I sure am happy about it now.  Brad was the perfect ending to our family and I can't imagine life without him now.  Anyway...here are a list of things I love about BRAD!!

1.  He is hysterical!  (Don't tell him though, it goes to his head)

2.  His wife has a cool name!  Okay, it's actually identical to mine....Lisa Marie Laws.  I love her and proud to share my name with her...in fact if I ever get married, I'll have to really think long and hard about changing it.

3. Tyson & Riley!  Man, I love these boys.  They are not only darling, but smart as whips.  I call them my little Enchilada & Quesadilla (it's a long story).  Spending 2 days at Disneyland was magical and truly one of the highlights of 2010.

4. He's easy to talk to! Considering he's quite a few years younger than I am, we've had some amazing talks.  He's given me some amazing advice that has helped me...probably more than he realizes!

5. His Testimony! I was lucky enough to be able to go to Mexico with my parents and pick him up from his Mission several years ago.  Although, he was a little weird (ask him about his Mexican blanket) I was so impressed with his Testimony and willingness to share it!  That became very important to me during some tough times.

6. He loves Music! I have great memories of making "Brad & Lisa's mixed tapes of Good Songs".  Yes, they were actually on cassette tapes!  Hysterical.

7. He LOVES me no matter what!!

January 12 of 12

It's the 12th and here are 12 things going on today in my life!

01- My bed has been made for 12 days straight!
02- I love planners. I know it's cheesy, but I love to decorate the pages for each month.
03- My desk at work. I will only have this desk for another 3 months, then it moves to Andover.(happy to see my poinsettia is still living)
04- The book I'm reading (okay listening) to. Interesting, that's all say for now.
05- The January birthdays (from the calendar I made) Mom, Brad & Andrea!
06- I love Lucy, and she loves me.
07- My darling kitchen that I love. I am still proud, 3 years later of the fabulous job I did on the cupboards.
08- Yes, there REALLY is a for sale sign on my balcony! SURREAL!
09- Bailey. Oh what to do with Bailey when I move? IT. STRESSES. ME. OUT.
10- The inversion is gone...at least for a few days. The gray January days get me down, but oh the joy when the blue skies show up again.
11- I REALLY want to learn how to take better pictures with my Nikon that I splurged on last year and MUST conquer Photoshop. Then I would be a better blogger!
12- Back on HCG again. It helped me take off over 50 pounds last year, so I'm doing it again this year. 14.8 down today!!

I want to be a blogger!

I read lots and lots of blogs. In fact there are a few I check everyday and get sad when there isn't a new post. I want to be that kind of blogger, but I've let other intimidate me. But no more. I've decided to set up my own blog as a series of lists. Lists of things to do, things I love and adventures I'm having! So here goes!
